The admins-wg (at bgconsortium.org) is a mailing list for system administrators of IBM BG/L machines. This list is intended to be a discussion/help list and expects to address topics across a wide range of issues important to keeping these unique systems running smoothly. Appropriate areas for discussion include everything from day to day operations of the machine, debugging user applications, development of monitoring tools, administration of the DB2 database, upgrading BG/L drivers, compilers and libraries, running and analyzing diagnostics, understanding the RAS events, options for resource management, where to find documentation, issues within the networking of the machine, parallel filesystem support, and much more.
To request membership in the list, please send email to majordomo at bgconsoritum.org with 'subscribe admins-wg [emailaddr]' in the body.

Resource Management
Resource Manager List There are a number of resource managers currently running on the BG/L machine. Cobalt, the Argonne developed one, is available free for use by anyone.

RAS events are logged to the database. There is a web interface provided by the IBM software.
